From the varied commitment articles, it sounds like there is approximately zero chance of wavering. We'll see if the wizard hat gets dragged out for this one, but I think Shepard will probably stick. This probably also eliminates Michigan with Shepard's cousin Craig Loston, a five-star safety.

SHIT.

    Not sure why this is such a big deal. It's a Southern Kid who would have had a hard time leaving the South. Only thing I am surprised about is that he didn't wait to see all of his top schools.

    And it sounds like Perriloux ain't coming back to play for LSU.

    I will agree that it's something of an overreaction, but isn't following recruiting in itself somewhat of an overreaction to loving football in the first place?

    Anyway, it's enough of a big deal to me that I'm planning to write a column later to day explaining why I'm was so upset about it, and various other topics on the matter.

    For a lot of people, if we didn't get Pryor, then we had to have Shepard. From what I'd heard, Mich wasn't really trying to hard to get Loston anyways, so that isn't as much of an issue for me, but Shepard getting picked up is a bit of a blow. Pick up one big name early and you've got another recruiter for the rest of the year.
