    Just because i'm curious... why don't you just setup this site to redirect right to the new one?

    A few reasons. First, I'm not sure how Google would feel about just hosting a redirect. Also, people would be less likely to update their bookmarks/links. It also seems kind of rude to force the browser to do something that the user may not want. The link is right there, so it's not a ton of searching to find the new site.

    Finally, after you move, don't you head back and drive the old neighborhood once or twice? I don't want to make our roots completely unvisitable.
